I had the opportunity to photograph an amazing yoga retreat in Costa Rica this year! The retreat was hosted by Jessica Merwin and Joan D’Argo. Jessica Merwin is the owner and an instructor at New Moon Yoga in Traverse City, Michigan. She is a Kundalini Yoga Instructor as well as a HeartMath Coherence Coach. Joan D’Argo is an Energy Intuitive, Teacher, and Soul Coach. The retreat included 2-3 yoga/meditation/workshop classes and 2 organic meals per day at a gorgeous resort, La Cusinga Lodge, near Uvita, Costa Rica… a beautiful mountainous region along the Pacific Coast. There were many hiking trails, an outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool, a natural swimming pool or poza, and an amazing restaurant on site. We took a day to get out on the ocean and whale watch. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and the retreat itself was thought provoking and life changing. Between the Kundalini Yoga, Chi Gong, Meditation, and HeartMath Coherence, I came home with a heart 2 times bigger and open to moving through life with more intention, love, and peace. It was an amazing experience and I recommend it to anyone out there looking to reset their life or just reaffirm the things they already know. Pura Vida ❤️
