I met Aly & Fisher at our session last Monday. They really wanted just beach photos, so we chose Christmas Cove Beach in Northport, Michigan. It ended up being a special place as Fisher’s mom got engaged at this exact same beach years before! We knew it was going to be a bit cloudy, which I love. Especially if it is still very bright out and when we arrived, the weather looked perfect. The temperature was warm and plenty of people were out enjoying the beach…. which I thought would be our biggest challenge. On our walk down the beach, Fisher pointed ahead of us and stated… it looks like we don’t have much time. There was a dark cloud, but I just didn’t think it looked all that ominous. We got to our spot and started shooting images. We were getting great shots and having fun walking back down the beach (the dark cloud at our backs now) and all of a sudden, a few sprinkles came down. We looked up and could see what was about to happen and Fisher and Aly smile from ear to ear and say, let’s go get some photos of us in the water in the rain! They ran to the water and as I was shooting, the sprinkles turned to a complete downpour! We had fun getting soaked in the rain and we got some great photos. Congratulations Aly & Fisher!
